Your business address sets the center of your service area. Every account starts with a 30-mile work radius that you can change from My Account.

Identity verification (required for every provider)

GroundBid site management reviews provider identity and business documents before bidding or payout access is approved. Customer identity verification is handled separately during customer sign-in.

Used only to confirm you are who you say you are. Reviewed by GroundBid staff, never shown to homeowners or other providers.

Business & licensing (unlocks bidding)

You can create your account and browse Florida opportunities. GroundBid site management must approve your identity, applicable licenses, and insurance before you can bid.

Whether a license field shows up is based on general state guidance, not legal advice — it may not reflect current rules, especially for irrigation, pesticide application, or local city/county requirements. Confirm with your state's licensing board if you're unsure. See our state license verification directory for the official lookup portal, agency, and phone number for every state.

Have these ready before connecting payouts with Stripe

Once GroundBid approves your account, you'll finish payout setup on Stripe's own secure page (about 5–10 minutes). Stripe asks for the following; GroundBid never sees or stores it.

  • Bank account for payouts — U.S. bank routing number and account number (checking account in your business's name, or your own name if you're a sole proprietor).
  • Tax identification — your EIN if you operate as an LLC or corporation, or your SSN if you're a sole proprietor or single-member LLC without an EIN.
  • Business details — legal business name exactly as registered, business type (sole proprietor, LLC, corporation), business address, phone number, and a short description of your services or your website.
  • Owner / representative details — legal name, date of birth, home address, and the last four digits of your SSN for the person completing setup. Stripe may ask for a photo of a government-issued ID to confirm identity.

You can leave Stripe and come back — unfinished setup resumes from your provider dashboard. Bidding unlocks only after Stripe confirms your account can receive payouts.
