Used for your account's full address on file and to show you open jobs near where you work. Every account starts with a 30-mile work radius — you can edit your address, service location, and radius any time from My Account after signup.

Identity verification (required for every provider)

We verify the identity of whoever is behind an account before any payout is released — this is separate from state contractor licensing below.

Used only to confirm you are who you say you are. Reviewed by GroundBid staff, never shown to homeowners or other providers.

Business & licensing (unlocks bidding)

You can create your account and browse open jobs right away. Verifying identity plus license/insurance (where applicable) moves you from the basic tier to verified and lets you place bids.

Whether a license field shows up is based on general state guidance, not legal advice — it may not reflect current rules, especially for irrigation, pesticide application, or local city/county requirements. Confirm with your state's licensing board if you're unsure.
